Schild Lab’s contract manufacturing and filling range includes dispenser bottles. These consist of a bottle for filling with a liquid and a dispenser attachment containing a pump device with a suction tube that extends to the bottom of the bottle. It’s either screwed onto the bottle or secured with a stopper. This dispenser mechanism allows a precise amount of liquid to be dispensed. The user holds one hand under the nozzle of the dispenser and presses it down. In this way, a set amount of liquid is dispensed, thus enabling precise dosage. Different designs of bottles are available on the market: small dispensers as well as large dosing bottles. Airless dispensers are a special version designed to protect the liquid they contain against harmful influences from the ambient air, such as oxidation. Dispensers come in a variety of shapes.
They range from elongated, bottle-shaped containers to wide, bulbous versions. They are also available in cylindrical or rectangular form. On many bottles, the dispenser is fitted with an additional cap. Some have a locking mechanism, which is operated by turning the dispenser to a certain angle, where it locks and can no longer be pressed down. For household products such as washing-up liquid, PET bottles with push/pull cap are also recommended. This type of closure is opened by simply pulling it up to allow the desired amount of liquid to be squeezed out. When the top is pressed down again, the bottle is securely sealed and nothing will leak out if the bottle should fall over. When choosing the most suitable design, manufacturers should consider how the product is going to be used. The range extends from simple, functional dispensers to decorative models.
Advantages and disadvantages of the dispenser bottle
Dispenser bottles are useful for safely storing and using liquid and semi-solid products. They make it easy to dispense the contents in a fixed dosage by simply touching the dispenser with one hand. Depending on the design, you can also use your elbow to operate the pump, thereby avoiding germ contamination through hand contact. In addition to being very practical, dispenser bottles offer the advantage of being refillable, which avoids packaging waste.
Decorative dispensers can be very attractive. When dispenser bottles are used for polish, they allow a more even distribution of the polish than is possible by hand. Depending on the shape of the bottle, the disadvantage may be that a small amount of the liquid remains in the empty container. However, bottles with a bevelled shoulder that are held upside down in a dispensing device do not have this disadvantage.

The right amount is dispensed, and the rest of the liquid remains untouched and hygienic in the container. Gels such as skin sanitisers or lubricants can be dosed cleanly from dispenser bottles. Other suitable products are eye serums, moisturisers and hair elixirs. In addition, this type of dispenser is perfect for household cleaners. Leather care, piano polish, car polish and washing-up liquid are effectively used in dispenser bottles.
